We left Jersey on Wednesday 17th July at about 0900 bst and arrived in treguier at about 2200 cest. We arrived at slack water as planned but had about 3 hours of strong tides against us which caused the delay. We both had colds and had to nurse ourselves.

Treguier is a beautiful medieval town 10 miles from the sea. It is well worth a visit, the marina staff are on duty when they are supposed to be and are helpful. There is a bar next to the showers etc run by Gildas and he does what he can to make you welcome. He speaks good English. If you need anything ask him, he may even get you bread and croissants if you ask. He has just started his business.

There are 2 chandlers and one is particularly well stocked. We leave for Roscoff soon.

The river and marina are pleasant.

    Treguier (spelling!) looks delightful!
When do you plan to attempt the dreaded Bay of Biscay?
Hope you are both feeling heeps better!!

  2. Well done to you both – and the pictures all the right way up! Hope the colds are soon better.
