We went to Nazare and spent one night there. The best berth is not where described in the books but at the yacht club on channel 9 VHF. It is closer to town, has a restaurant and protected. Go here! The town is major Spanish tourism and no Brits. There are loads of srestaurants. There are nice beaches and we liked it. There was a circus when we were there. There was one restaurant where you choose your seafood e.g live crabs and they are cooked and delivered to your table.

After this we went to Peniche which not so nice for mooring but we rated against rich Paul and Kate who have a lovely Halberg Rassy. The town was not exceptional but had an interesting citadel.

We left next morning with Lindo ,the HR, behind us and that remained the position until Cascais, near Lisbon. This was an expensive marina! On the way here we got speeds of 7 knots!

On arrival we found that the auto helm was not working well. I dismantled it but no good. We had to stay and an expert in Lagos said that no parts were available to repair it…….a new one today….10/9/15. We leave for Sesimbra tomorrow . The bar Skipper is the best place for a drink and English is spoken and food is reasonably priced. Ask for Muno!
