There are many preserved

Well, today the last bits and pieces are being done. We put on a couple of rope bags in the cockpit, and a second anchor to stay on the pushpit. We enjoy Monnickedam where the boat is

getting prepared and I attach a couple of pics. We also had one of the shower pumps changed……..I never stop spending!

The boat is so loaded that it leant to port ( the left). I balanced the weight but used the cabin at the bow. When guests come we will have to move around kit to sleep.

The weather is gales at the moment with some improvement tomorrow and then poor after then for the weekend. I cannot just go because of Corry’s health which will not be helped by being banged about. Anyway, subject to reconsideration we will go to Ijmuiden on the North Sea and then to scheveningen. We then hope for a good day run to Oostende.

For the sailors among you we have had the hydrovane setup. It looks the part! I have an easy to use cruising sail and a storm sail made by Hood which fits over the furled foresail. All the standing and running rig have been replaced. Sails are new. I have a spare fortress anchor. Anything you want to know add a comment!

I hope your vessel stays the right way up, unlike your posted images!
    I haven’t been to Ostend since 1966!
I guess it is still there!

You sound very laden! Why are the pictures upside down?
