We went to Pavoa for one night only as it was not far. It is on our view plus other liveaboards that it is the cheapest marina as well as for having work done. The town is not too far and has most shops. I did not take any pics but Corry did. There was a medieval market with craft stalls. We had some bread made as in times past- rubbish!
We then sailed to the new marina at Porto where all the staff are very friendly and nice. The marina is trying to offer winter contracts but a boat with a few centimetres over 10 metres pay the same as one of thirteen. It is a lot more than the price for ten. It is also a dear Marina compared with others but discounts are available for some memberships e.g CA. Cecilia in the office and her colleagues are great but a 30 mins stroll to town as indicated by Cecilia was in fact 1.30 hours!! She laughs a lot!
The local village should be sampled for its fish restaurants. There is also a bus to the centre outside the marina. However ,a free shuttle bus will take you to, and return you from the department store El Corte Ingles.
